We are Home!

Actually beat Tara to the Blog. WOW. Here are a few shots of our trip down the Red Deer River. We started at McKenzie Crossing near Big Valley and finished in Drumheller approximately 75km's later. A lot of sore muscles, mosquito bites and sunburns. Well worth the trip.

Barry and Linda were sure missed the last couple days of the trip. We were reminded of them everytime we used some of the items we pillaged from them before we continued. Maybe you will be up for 'Canoe 2012'? Start training everyone!

Ella's Swimming Debut

So she finally took the plunge, and here is the video to prove it. She didn't cry, she smiled and kicked her feet, and the life jacket worked great. There were kids around splashing water, she even got some in the face, and it really didn't phase her. It was a heated outdoor pool...not too heated. I can hardly wait to go for Mommy and me sessions in Fall. I am signing us up for the Starfish class.


Happy Anniversary to Tara and Neil tomorrow. Talked to Tara today, so I know for sure that tomorrow is the day.

Well enough for now, gotta get back to entertaining the kid...I mean Collin, Ella mostly entertains herself. LOL.

It was absolutely beautiful weather here in Alberta today. I got this snap of Neil's new smile while he was sitting on the edge of our hot tub in the backyard!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I did an adventure race yesterday, it was very challenging! I'm quite sore today (hence the entire afternoon lolling in the hot tub!)

Hope everyone had a great long weekend! The weather here in Calgary was very beautiful... we hit plus 30 on Sunday even...!!!

Neil and I didn't see each other much this weekend... we both had big events on. Neil had his club championship (golf) I think he did well, but I know he's a little disappointed with his scores....

I had my first bike stage race.... which was quite the experience! I had a 90 km road race on Saturday, then a hill climb on Sunday and today was the Criterium (which is a fast paced road race on a short 1 km long circuit... 25 laps)

The picture above is myself and 2 of my teammates cooling down on our trainers after the hill climb. I'm the one on the left. and the hill climb is exactly that. We went up a ski hill on our bikes... it was 1.2 km of suffering :)

and speaking of new jobs, I start in my new unit tomorrow :)
