Belize!

This is the 14 seat cessna that took us from Belize City over to the island we stayed on, Ambergris Caye.... it's about a 20 minutes flight :)
View from the Cessna as we were coming towards the island!
The view from out front of our hotel... It was very hot, i'm thankful we were right on the ocean, the sea breeze kept us comfortable!
We spent an afternoon on bicycles, exploring the island... this is the far south end, not much golf cart traffic !!
Our balcony from the condo we rented for the week... we made most of our own meals for the week, using the charcoal bbq that was in front of the complex!!
Neil, in his shorty wetsuit on Half Moon Caye...we were between 2 dives.
Neil and I, on Half Moon Caye again... this is a little later, we have completed the first 2 dives of the day, and we were having lunch on the island (it's a nature preserve) before going on to the 3rd dive of the day, which was the Blue Hole.
Wandering around Ambergris Caye on our last full day there.... we all got very tanned!!
This is, believe it or not... the dive shop that we used while we were there... they were fantastic, and all the dive shops on the island were basically shacks on a dock, so it was far from unusual! Definitely the island life!!

I have some underwater video and pics, I just have to actually figure out how to edit and upload the video, and the friends we went with have all the pictures, still waiting to get those!!

Family Reunion

The second weekend in June we went to a Bartholow (Aaron's mom's side of the family) reunion up close to Edmonton. We took up our new (to us) trailer. We all had a lot of fun and the tent didn't leak (much). Tate's favorite two things were the large frisbees and the large bubble wands. It managed to rain mostly at night so we were able to have our horseshoe tournament. The boys even participated in horseshoes and won their first game! Aaron and I kicked butt, and got the first place trophy. We also paired up for the cribbage tournament, but didn't take first place for that. There was tons of food (of course) and we headed home after the pancake/eggs/bacon/sausage/fried potato breakfast on Sunday. It was a long drive, but well worth it to spend time with family. We are looking forward to seeing the Ferris and Everitt relatives in three weeks.

Quilt is done- I think it looks awesome and feel Iris is very approving of having this finished to be appreciated. Ready for pick-up!
We head back to Saskatoon tomorrow for a couple of days. Had some beautiful days here- got the boat wet- everything worked! Except the fish - they weren`t hungry but that meant no cleaning. Caught a perch so can`t say we were completely skunked!
Waiting for reports of the scuba diving - read an article at the doctors office and it was scary- also off the coast of Australia so hopefully not so in the Carribean. Barry is checking the weather and says severe weather in Manitoba and flooding in Alberta. So hope that misses all of you. Have a good week.  Barry & Linda
